I just sent out invitations to my birthday party. Normally I am paranoid about throwing parties because I worry that no one will come, and that if they do come they will be bored. I am even more paranoid about using Evite because then everyone can see that only two of the ninety people I invited said yes. But this year I am turning thirty, so I will throw caution to the wind and have a party and Evite everybody.
I can hear K coughing upstairs. He has bronchiolitis. He has not been his chipper self lately.
We are leaving for a weeklong family vacation early Saturday morning. The house is a mess. The mail hasn't been sorted. We need to get more food for K, and use up the leftovers, and do lots of laundry, and clean up, and of course pack, and figure out how to deal with the plane ride and how to get to the airport and back, and finish up the work we have to do before we leave. One more day to prepare would be nice. But it is not to be. All I know is that I'm packing my Internal Revenue Code. Maybe I can lull K to sleep on the plane by reading him Section 338, Certain Stock Purchases Treated as Asset Acquisitions.
