K has been pushing himself up on elbows and knees for a while, with his head down. Recently he's gotten on his hands and knees, but still with the head on the ground. Today when I went to get him after his nap, he was UP! Hands and knees, head in the air -- that's crawling position!
We REALLY need to stop being lazy and start babyproofing. Our living room features an entire shelf of small, sharp animal figurines (from India) and the Corner of Death, where I regularly trip over the mass of tangled cords.
(He also pulled himself up to sitting when he was lying on my lap! The boy is developing some core muscles.)
