In case you were wondering whether my recent silence means there's a baby, the answer is no. I just haven't felt like writing. I've been more cranky lately. It's purely hormonal -- I still feel fine and I have my days free. At this point, though, I feel like I'm sitting around waiting.
My official due date is now just a few days away, which means I could deliver any time within the next few weeks. The contractions have gotten more frequent and I'm feeling a lot more pressure. I even had contractions this morning that hurt a little. I took that as a good sign -- at least I'm making progress. And all the important pre-baby items on my to-do list are done, so I'm ready.
We saw a baby Beluga whale on TV and JW said, "Our baby will look kind of like that." "That's a whale," I pointed out. "But he'll be squishy and smooth and have rolls of fat," replied JW. I guess. I'll post pictures and you can tell me whether he resembles a whale.
