Really done

I think I'm really done with my apps this time. A few weeks ago, I mentioned that the dean's certification form from my undergrad school apparently got lost in the mail. I was a little worried that it hadn't reached any of the law schools. But yesterday I received two things that made me feel better: an email from Columbia saying my application was complete, and a replacement form from the dean's office. I sent off the certification forms to Harvard today, so -- fingers crossed -- I should be all set until financial aid time.

It was kind of ridiculous how much time I spent writing my three-sentence letter to the Harvard admissions office telling them that the forms were in the envelope. I even looked up the proper format for a business letter on the web. As if they're going to read the letter and be so impressed that they admit me on the spot. Or read it and be so enraged by my use of "enclosed please find" that they spit on my application and fling it into the garbage.
